Our story
Walnut is the brainchild of Devon based art director (Dermot) and nutritionist, health writer and holistic therapist (Emma), who for a long time have dreamt of combining their talents to create something special, something close to their hearts.
Walnut is an independent magazine split into three sections – health, food and people, packed with informative and inspirational articles, mouth-watering recipes, plus fascinating stories about the people who champion the best in food production. All wrapped up in a clean and contemporary design with beautiful photography and illustration. It’s something to keep, collect and cherish. It looks good and even smells good, a bit like delicious food really.
It is essential reading for individuals who are interested in health and wellbeing, who care about the food they eat, where it comes from and how it affects their body.

Our ethos
We care deeply about the environment and want to tread as lightly as possible on our planet in everything we do. This means that rather than over-inflating circulation figures, our print run reflects actual sold copies, ensuring that we produce less waste as a result. We want our magazine to find its way into the hands of the readers who will enjoy it, so we work closely with distributors and stockists to reduce waste as much as possible.
Walnut is printed on 100% Recycled Nautilus Offset FSC paper from responsible sources. 100% of the inks used are vegetable based. 100% of the press chemicals and waste are recyclable.
When you are finally finished with your copy, we encourage you to share it, donate it to a cafe or clinic waiting area, or recycle it.
